Argentina and Venezuela remain undefeated in Americas Group I as hosts Colombia fall to Chile on day two in Bogota

Americas I: Argentina and Venezuela move top
Argentina were untroubled in their encounter against Ecuador, winning 3-0 thanks to victories in singles for Martina Capurro and Julia Riera and in doubles for Maria Lourdes Carle and Julieta Lara Estable.
 
Venezuela were made to work hard for their second victory of the week, clinching a 2-1 win in the doubles as Andrea Gamiz and Vanesa Suarez saw off Romina Ccuno and Francesca Maguina Bunikowska 6-4 6-2.
 
The closest tie of the day, however, was the encounter between hosts Colombia and Chile. Yuliana Lizarazo put the home side in front with a 6-1 4-6 7-5 victory against Antonia Vergara Rivera.
 
Chile's Daniela Seguel levelled the score with a 6-1 6-3 triumph over Maria Paulina Perez-Garcia before teaming up with Fernanda Labrana to overcome Lizarazo and Perez-Garcia 6-1 7-6(4) in the doubles.
 
All in all, the the teams were on court for more than five hours.
